Nicholas turns 9!

Saturday was Nicholas's 9th birthday! To celebrate, we all went to Sever's Corn Maze in Shakopee & had a great time. :)

Tyler, Nana & Maddie in the corn pit. The corn pit was huge.........Tyler, Maddie & I liked jumping from the hay bale walls into the corn & sinking in...........Maddie would giggle & giggle! :)

They had a giant slide there, too. Here, J.D., Maddie, Tyler & I are getting ready to go down. Maddie rode on J.D.'s lap & Tyler rode on mine. I was pretty scared going down because I am afraid of heights & I couldn't breathe going down...........Tyler loved it! Later in the day he kept asking me to go down the slide with him again. I said, "I thought you were going to go with J.D." "But I want to go with you," he kept saying. Finally, I went with him again & he was so excited. I asked him if he knew how much I loved him that I would go down the slide with him again. "Yeah!" :)

Our friends, Mark & Leah & their twins, Jude & Estella, went to Sever's Corn Maze on Saturday, too. We met up with them to go thru the maze.

The corn maze was a Vikings theme this year in honor of their 50th anniversary. It is a huge maze & using a map, you have to find signs in the maze lettered from A to Z with Vikings trivia on them.

We brought a wheelchair for Todd to use because of his knee, but the ground was so soft in the actual corn maze, that he ended up using it as a walker. Maddie did enjoy getting a few rides............as did Jude & Estella. :)

After a fun day at Sever's Corn Maze, we went back to Leonard & Denise's house for pizza, cake & ice cream................and................Nicholas got to open his presents.

Nicholas really liked the Indoor/Outdoor Science Lab we gave him. :)
