Todd's Birthday......January 22nd

For Todd's birthday lunch this year, we decided to go to Jax Cafe in Minneapolis. We had Tyler & Maddie for the weekend, so they went with us, too. I had been there a couple of times for work, but Todd had never been there. It is a super nice restaurant with great food!

Maddie wanted to wear a pretty dress for Uncle Todd's birthday lunch.

She also wanted to wear the "Princerella" glass slipper necklace. :)

Jax Cafe even had "Happy Birthday Todd" matchbooks at each of our place settings at the table. Todd was especially excited about these. I thought they might do that, but I wasn't sure, so I hadn't said anything ahead of time.

Maddie got a burger & fries................I think Tyler had a corn dog & fries, if I remember correctly. We actually ordered mandarin oranges instead of fries for Maddie, but she ended up with both. She didn't want the mandarin oranges, so Uncle Todd & I got a special treat. :)

I forgot the name of the entree that Todd ordered, but we had to take a picture of it because the tomatoes were so big! It had the tomatoes, some kind of cheese & chicken breasts. Todd said it was very good. I had a chicken pot pie which is a Jax favorite (it says so in the menu) and it was super! :)

Tyler putting candles on the birthday cake we made for Uncle Todd. When we were at the Dollar Store earlier, Tyler saw this Cat in the Hat decoration & candles & really wanted to get them for Uncle Todd's cake. So we secretly bought them without Todd seeing...........that was also fun for Tyler. :)
