Free Indeed 2014

We had 6 kids do the Free Indeed Freedom Celebration with us this year.  Brenden, J.T., Luke, Maddie, Nicholas, and Tyler all carried flags and were in the drama with Nana.  Maddie also joined the kids choir this year.  She enjoyed doing that very much!

Nicholas, Maddie, and Brenden all got "leg shots" with the guest speaker, Dana Bowman.  He lost both of his legs in a sky diving accident.

Uncle Todd was Dana Bowman's "chauffeur" for the weekend.  He picked him up at the airport on Saturday & brought him back to the airport on Sunday.  He also had to bring him to his hotel on Saturday night after the services.  Nicholas, Tyler, & Brenden were excited to ride along to bring Dana to the hotel.  They were even more excited when he offered to buy them all pizza.  Brenden said, "I can't believe it.  This guy is famous and has been on T.V. and we're eating pizza with him!"  I'm sure they will never forget it!  :)

Outdoor Movie at Church

We had Tyler, Maddie, & J.T. this weekend.  Last night we all went with Grandma A to the outdoor movie at church.  We saw Nim's Island and they had free popcorn.  We brought bubbles and glow bracelets and had a great time.

Walk like madd 2014

We did the Walk like madd walk today around Lake Phalen.  It was pouring rain, but we had a good time.

J.T. wore my rain coat to help keep him dry.

Shane & Amanda Fleming Graduate From Pine River-Backus High School

We went to Shane & Amanda's graduation on May 30th.  Their open house was the next day.

Amanda was the Valedictorian & she gave a great speech.  It was nice that Shane was in the front row & I was able to get them  both in the picture.  :)

Since J.T. was in all of the productions again this year, we thought he would like going to the Hawaiian Luau Productions Banquet.  We were right...........he had a blast!  :)

Ice on Lake Superior..........on May 5th.

We went up north for our anniversary trip yesterday.  When we arrived in Duluth, we saw that Lake Superior was still covered in ice and snow.  It was very weird!

Sonja had to throw her rocks on the ice.

There was some open water for a Polar Plunge, but Todd declined.
