North Heights Chorale & Orchestra Concerts

The North Heights Chorale performed 3 concerts in 3 days (April 25 - 27) with a small orchestra.  Sonja played her flute in the orchestra & Sonja's mom sings in the Chorale.  There was a concert Friday night at Price of Peace Lutheran in Roseville, one Saturday night at 1st Lutheran in Albert Lea, and the final one at North Height in Arden Hills on Sunday afternoon.  The music was very difficult and stretched Sonja a lot, but she had a lot of fun performing in the concerts.

All Things New 2014

We are participating in the All Things New Easter production again this year.

J.T. really likes his costume.  :)

J.T. & Nana decided Puppy needed a costume, too.  :)

Last week it snowed 6-7 inches from Thursday night into Friday afternoon.  J.T. & I made a snowman.  It was all melted by Sunday afternoon.  :)

We Built a Wall

Todd & I have been helping with set construction for the Easter production this week.  Last night we had a good feeling of accomplishment because we put up a wall.

I think we will feel pretty good every time we see this wall during the production.  :)

Tyler & Maddie slept over this past weekend & wanted to play outside on Sunday even though it was still very cold.  We bundled them up & they played on the "snow mountains" for 20 - 30 minutes.

Feed My Starving Children

Tyler & Maddie came over for the weekend.  Yesterday, we went to church to volunteer for a 2 hour shift of packing meals for Feed My Starving Children.  Tyler & Maddie did a great job & we all had a fun time.  Our table packed 30 boxes.......1080 bags.......6480 meals. :)

Minions, Uncle Todd & Tyler, waiting for our turn to pack meals.

Maddie & Nana wating for our turn......gotta love the hair nets!

Tyler & Uncle Todd scooping vitamins & veggies.  Thank you Peggy for "ducking" for the picture.  :)

Nana & Maddie sealing bags.

Since the kids did such a good job at Feed My Starving Children, we stopped at Cub & got all the "fixins" for ice cream sundaes.  YUM!  :)

Sledding & Shoveling

This winter has been so cold it has been hard to get out & enjoy the snow.  On Sunday, Jan. 19th, it was nice enough for J.T. & I to go outside  & do some sledding.  We also got out J.T.'s little shovel.  He had a grand time shoveling snow from the snowbank onto the driveway.  :)
